Executive Officer and Administrative Captain aboard large luxury motor yachts for Philadelphia businessman.

Duties included:
  • Primary boat handler
  • Manager of yacht finances with an annual budget of $150,000
  • Responsible for all navigation including celestial, sat nav, Loran and GPS
Project Manager (1995-1997) for construction of new multi-million dollar 108-foot motor yacht in Savannah Georgia.

Activities included:
  • Worked with Design Engineers, providing input on systems that were incorporated into the yacht construction.
  • Designed bridge layout and selected electronics and computer for pilothouse.
  • Wrote numerous memos evaluating design and workmanship.

 
1984 - 1985 Homeport, Inc. - U.S. Virgin Islands

After cruising Europe and the Caribbean with my husband in our own sailboat, worked (1985) as Accounts Clerk for Homeport, Inc., a charter yacht clearinghouse in St. Thomas, USVI. Processed account information for 160 yachts.

 
1970 - 1984 General Telephone Company - Tampa, Florida

Six years as Long Distance Operator. Eight years in Engineering and Construction in various positions including:
  • E&C Clerk
  • Repair Dispatcher
  • Computer Scheduling
  • Executive Secretary for the E&C Director
During these years I built a firm foundation for office management. Being well organized and versatile, with excellent communication skills, I was able to do a variety of jobs, filling in where needed in the Engineering and Construction Department of General Telephone.
