2003 - Present Chief Engineer - Deep Sea
Currently serving as Assistant Engineer for Maritrans Inc. aboard the 11,000 Horsepower Tankership, Constitution engaged in lightering operations in Delaware Bay.

2001 - 2003 Chief Engineer - Deep Sea
Serving as Engineer aboard the 610-foot Ocean Venture/American Freedom, an articulated Tug and Barge operating worldwide for American Steamship Company.

 
1997 - 2001 Chief Engineer - Philadelphia, PA
Served as Chief Engineer aboard a variety of Commercial Tugboats for Moran Towing Company in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities included running and maintaining the Tugs on a 24-hour basis while engaged in ship docking and barge towing. Engines included Cleveland Diesel Electric, CAT, EMD, and Detroit.

 
1985 - 1997 Captain and Engineer - Worldwide
Captain and Engineer, for a Philadelphia businessman, responsible for the operation and maintenance of several large, luxury motor yachts cruising between Maine and Vancouver, BC via Panama Canal. Duties included troubleshooting and repair of large, high-performance diesel engines, diesel generators, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air-conditioning systems. Between June 1995 and August 1997 served as Project Manager for construction of his new 108-foot motor yacht in Savannah, GA.

 
1983 - 1985 Diesel Mechanic - St. Thomas, USVI
Cruising Europe and the Caribbean with my wife in our own sailboat. Worked as Diesel mechanic for Power Products in St. Thomas, USVI, in 1985.

 
1973 - 1983 Head Crime Scene Technician - Bartow, FL
Worked for Bartow Police Department. Duties included investigation of crime scenes, fingerprint identification, and photography. During this time, also taught Police Science and Police Photography at Polk Community College and piloted surveillance aircraft for Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Police Officer of the Year and "Dirty Harry" award by Polk Community College.

 
1970 - 1973 Pilot and Flight Instructor - Valdosta, GA
Worked for several fixed-base operations including Valdair Aviation, Valdosta, GA; and Lakeland Flying Service, Lakeland, FL. Taught flying, flew charters, and transported high explosives for Priority Air Dispatch.
